Send/Retrieve Data to/from Support

Use this tool to send your data (Access databases only) to EventPro Planner Support for troubleshooting. You will use this same tool to retrieve the corrected file from EventPro Planner Support.

 

IMPORTANT: You should always contact EventPro Planner Support for assistance before using this function.

 

1.Select Utilities | Send/Retrieve Data to/from Support.
2.The database you are currently using will appear in the Database field. If you want to select a different database, click the ellipsis to bring up the Select Database window. Find the database you want to send and click Open.

3.There are three options along the right side of the window:
a.Send FTP: When you click this button, EventPro Planner will send your data to our private FTP site for analysis by EventPro Planner Support personnel. The privacy of your data is protected; only EventPro Planner Support can access this website and view your data.
b.Send Email: When you click this button, EventPro Planner will send your database in an email to EventPro Planner Support. We typically recommend that you do not use this function, as databases can be extremely large.
c.Retrieve: After EventPro Planner Support analyzes and fixes your database, they will post the repaired database on the FTP site. When you click the Retrieve button, the repaired database will be saved over the original database.

CAUTION! Do not use this button without the assistance of EventPro Planner Support!

You could delete all of your data if it is used incorrectly.

4.EventPro Planner must close the database in order to transmit the data. When the transfer is complete, you will return to the log in screen, where you can log back in.

Remember that only customers with a current Upgrade Protection Plan (UPP) can access Support.  There are many benefits available with the annual UPP; refer to Technical Support above.
