Select Dates and Begin New Event Wizard
|
|
||
| 1. | Click the Booking Calendar button and adjust the view to the correct dates. Use the options described in Booking Calendar Overview to change the displayed dates. |
| 2. | On the Booking Calendar, select the cell(s) corresponding to the date(s) in which you wish to book the event and the Event Manager or Event Status you want to assign to the event (depending on the View By option you have selected). The event manager and event status will only be the default for the event. You can choose different options later in the booking process. |
| 3. | You can create single-day or multi-day events. |
To create a single day booking, simply double-click the correct date. |
Select multiple adjacent or non-adjacent cells by holding down the Ctrl key on your keyboard as you click on each required cell. The selected cell(s) will be highlighted with a black honeycomb pattern.
You can select multiple cells within one view or even across multiple views. For example, to select one day out of each month, hold down the Ctrl key while scrolling through the months and picking the desired days. To release multiple-selected cells and start over, let go of the Ctrl key and click any cell. |
| 4. | When you have selected the dates you want, click Event | New in the Button Bar or right-click and select New. |

| 5. | Regardless of the number of cells selected, or their positions on the grid relative to each other, you are creating one event. An event is a collection of related functions grouped under a single Booking Number. You will later be able to define multiple functions or sessions within your event. For instance, a wedding booked over three days is one event, but may comprise several functions, e.g. a rehearsal supper on the first day, the wedding reception and dance on the second, and the gift opening on the third. |
| 6. | After you double-click a cell, or select cells and click New, the New Event Wizard appears. This wizard will lead you through the booking process step by step. The first step is Initial Configuration, which involves choosing whether you want to base the event on a template. |
