When the event is ready and you have completed the Online Event Information to your preferences, you can publish the event to Attendee Online.
1.
In the Event Maintenance screen, find the Event.
2.
In the upper right corner, click the Options button and select Publish Online Event.
3.
The Confirm dialog will warn you that you will overwrite previously published information for the event.
CAUTION!
Publishing or re-publishing an event will overwrite the event setup, and delete all attendees and all information associated with attendees,
such as registration selections, in Attendee Online.
For example, if attendees have entered their information in Attendee Online, and you publish the event, you will lose all of that attendee information, possibly never knowing that the information had been there.
a.
If you want to make changes to the event and re-publish it, you can, but you must ensure that you do not lose any information.
b.
Before publishing the event, first download attendees from Attendee Online, and then lock the event (refer to Lock Event below). You can now safely publish the event.
c.
To proceed with publishing the event, click Yes in the Confirm dialog.
4.
This will save the event information and attendee registration information out to files. It will then copy or ftp those files to the transfer folder.
5.
After the files are in place, it will send the UPLOADEVENT function to Attendee Online. Attendee Online will take the files in the transfer folder and save them into its database. After it loads those files successfully, it will send back an "OK" to EventPro Planner, which will then clean up the files it created and return control to the user.
6.
The Information dialog should tell you that the event upload was successful. Click OK.
