EventPro Planner Attendee Online needs to be installed on a machine running Windows 2000, Windows 2000 Server or higher.
There are four basic configurations of your network when setting up EventPro Planner and Attendee Online. The way you transfer files to Attendee Online from EventPro Planner, either by “File Copy” or “FTP”, depends on your network configuration.
The following four diagrams display four different configurations your network may be in, and what type of communication and file transfer between EventPro Planner to Attendee Online will be required.
If EventPro Planner and Attendee Online are on the same server, files can be transferred between the two applications with just a regular File Copy. If you want to have computers outside of your network have access to Attendee Online, you will need to make that port accessible through your firewall.
|
If EventPro Planner and Attendee Online are on two separate servers, but are still on the same network, you can use either File Copy or FTP to transfer the files between the two servers. It is recommended to use the File Copy method so that you do not need to open up an unnecessary port to the Attendee Online server. If you want to have computers outside of your network have access to Attendee Online you will need to make that port accessible through your firewall.

If EventPro Planner and Attendee Online are on two separate servers and on different networks, you will need to use FTP to transfer the files between the two servers.
|
If EventPro Planner and Attendee Online are on two separate servers and on different networks, and the data is on a separate MS-SQL server, you will need to use FTP to transfer the files between the two servers. The port for the MS-SQL Server would need to be opened so that Attendee Online can access its data.
