Finance Overview

||
You can manage all of an event’s financial information under the Finance tab in the Event Maintenance screen.
Keep track of your projected event budget under the Budget tab. When you work through your event, adding revenue and cost items, you will see Budget fields. The drop-down lists in these Budget fields contain all the items you set up in your Budget under Event Setup in Chapter 5. This allows you to identify the prices for these items and where they should be reflected in your budget. |
You can record income/expense items for the event under the Income/Expense tab, and view any attendee or exhibitor income/expense items that you might have created in other areas of the Event Maintenance screen. |
Record negotiated items under the Negotiation tab. Negotiations allow you to track when event managers are able to save money for an event through negotiated prices, typically on big-ticket items like hotel rooms and venue locations. |
Use the Invoices and Payments tab to create invoices and receive payments for the event. You can also view attendee and exhibitor invoices and payments, which would have been created elsewhere in the Event Maintenance screen. Event invoices and payments can also be dealt with in the Accounting | Finance area of the program. See Invoices in Accounting | Finance and Payments in Accounting | Finance below. |
To review how to set up user rights for access to finance, see Chapter 2: Setting Up EventPro Planner, Step 3: User Right Groups, Create User Right Groups. |
Note that the Finance Module and the Budget Module are optional modules in EventPro Planner. The Income/Expense area of EventPro Planner comes with either the Finance Module or the Budget Module. If you have not purchased these modules, you will not see the related tabs and screens. If you are interested in previewing or purchasing any of these modules, please contact the nearest Sales Department.
