When you later add companies, the Company [New] window usually has tabs along the top. You click on the tabs under which you want to enter information.
However, if you select the Use Company Wizard checkbox here in system settings, users will be guided through a wizard when creating companies. Note that instead of tabs along the top, there are Back, Next and Finish buttons at the bottom of the window.
Using the wizard will encourage users to go through every screen in the Company [New] window. If you want to allow the user to finish before working through all the screens (General, Classification, Billing Information, Notes and User Fields), you can choose the screen on which the Finish button becomes available; select the relevant screen from the Show Finish Button On drop-down list. Note that even though the Finish button becomes available on the selected screen, the user can still use the Next button to click through the remaining screens. Check the Show all companies/contacts on grid by default checkbox if you always want the Company/Contacts Screen to display all companies and contacts. |
Remember, if you make any changes you want to keep, ensure that you click the Save button.
Clicking Cancel will revert to the previously saved settings.
