Borders

| 1. | The black borders that you see around components in the Report Designer will not actually appear in the reports, except for the border around a region. To create borders around any other components, you must add lines. |
| 2. | Click the Line Icon and click in the report approximately where you need the line. A rectangle with a line on the top edge will appear. |

| 3. | Hint: Do not narrow down the rectangle so that it is barely visible. You will later have difficulty selecting and moving the line. You can leave the rectangle as large as necessary for ease of selection, as only the line will be visible in the printed report. |

| 4. | To change the line to a vertical line, or to switch it to the bottom of the rectangle, select an option from the drop-down list located in the upper left corner. You can choose whether you want the line along the Top, Bottom, Left or Right of the rectangle. |
| 5. | Resize and move the rectangle so that the line is the correct length and in the correct position. |
| 6. | To change the color of a line or a border around a shape or region, click the drop-down arrow of the Line Color Icon and select a color. |
| 7. | To change the thickness or style of a line, click the Line Thickness and Line Style Icons. |
