Add a System Variable

Remember that there are two different kinds of system variables: the Report system variables (e.g. date, time) and the EventPro Planner system variables (e.g. User ID, User Name).

1.To add a Report system variable, click the System Variable Icon and click in the report approximately where you want to add the variable.

2.In the upper left corner, choose the variable from the drop-down list: Date, DateTime, DocumentName, PrintDateTime, etc.

3.You can then follow the steps under Add a New Label and Field to align and size the variable field in the same way as you would adjust a label or DB text field.
4.To add an EventPro Planner system variable, follow the process described above under Add a New Label and Field to add a database text field.  However, rather than selecting the database and value from the drop-down lists, right-click the field in the report and select System Variable.  From the System Variable drop-down list, choose a variable and click OK.
